I’ve always found that really hard to do.
Firstly, I suppose I should start with my name. My name is Beth and I’m 31 years old. I’ve had a fairly diverse experience of life so far. I was born overseas, moved to the UK and grew up in rural Leicestershire. I was a teenage Mum before going to University and achieving a first class degree in Arts Management. I now run my own company that delivers creative projects with young people and produces murder mysteries for corporate events.
People have often asked what I do and I’ve always said ‘I don’t know’. I’ve been a creative practitioner/facilitator, a trainer, a project manager, a producer, an educationalist, an entrepreneur, a wife and a Mum.Through all of these roles and my own journey my driving force has always been helping other people reach their potential and find that piece of ‘gold dust’ that helps unlock their next steps to achieving the things they want in their life.
People around me said that I am coach and that what I do is coaching. This was a new idea to me and so I started investigating what it means to be a coach.I went on a few courses began practising 'formally' with friends and family and realised that yes, even though I'm not entirely comfortable with the term coach, coaching is indeed what I do.
Its about helping you to set goals in your life and supporting you by providing a space to explore what those goals mean and what barriers need overcoming in order to achieve them. It’s about moving away from limiting beliefs and helping you find the space where anything is possible.
It’s about being a mirror and reflecting back to you the things about your reality that you may not be able to see so that you can make choices as a result of that new perspective. It would seem that this is something that I can do really well
But why do I do it? Until recently I didn’t realise that coaching was what I was doing - I was just doing what I do. I genuinely want to see the people around me achieve their potential and accomplish the things that they want in their lives, personal or professional…because our lives are not all about work!
I want to help your journey because for me, life is about LIVING; it’s about feeling the crackle of life running through your veins and wanting to jump out of bed every morning and shout ‘bring it on’! I believe life is about fun and joy and laughter and I know that I can help people find more of that in their own lives by supporting them to set the goals that are important to them and supporting them whilst they achieve them.
And so my question is would you (or someone you know) like a ‘professional friend’ to join you as you continue on your own journey to a richer, fuller, more fulfilling/satisfying existence? Perhaps you’d like to email me/give me a call and we can go for a coffee and talk about what a ‘professional friend’ might look like….
I will also be offering any new client a free 'try before you buy' session so that we can both decide if we want to continue
